Paul i scoped out the gromet this how-to uses. It is almost im-f u cking-possible to get to. There is absolutely no way to get to it from inside the car and i have no idea how you are supposed to get to it from the engine bay. Let me know if you actually try to use and if you are successful.

I used it with no problem at all....back in the day, November 2004...

Lemme see if I can dig up some tips for you on how to work with it....

oh, here it is....

sorry. it's easy to work with, you use a long screwdriver to pop the grommet into the cab. you drill the grommet out and feed the sensor wire through the firewall (from the engine bay) and then through the grommet...the wire then acts as a guide for you to feed the grommet back to the hole... i actually used electrical tape on the interior-side to catch the grommet and using a screwdriver, i forced it back into place.

i can help you with this when you need.

FEELER: before I post in the FS section seeing if anyone local is interested.

Anyone wanna buy my RalliArt Lip? Still in good condition, I had to drill holes under the lip for the ARC Splitters... There's also non-visible scratches underneath from daily driving it. (ARC SPLITTER NOT INCLUDED)

wow i cant wait to sh it on your wing when i come over.

yeah i will probably be needing to run my oil pressure wire through there. i get how to pop it out but how do you get it back in, I could not get my hand in from the engine bay to press it back in. I guess i could use a screw driver or something though. Whatever, i hates you.

you can do it exactly like this:
  1. pop grommet into engine bay
  2. drill grommet
  3. feed wire through firewall
  4. feed wire through grommet
  5. apply electrical tape to wire, big enough so that you can pull the wire and it will begin to wedge the grommet back into place
  6. pop the grommet back in to place with a long screwdriver
again, i'll be more than happy to give you a hand...i remember looking at that and scratching my head.
