OZ Rally's Build Thread
Alright guys I'm going to get a new paint job.
I'm thinking of getting this color http://www.paintforcars.com/kits_sta...appblumet.html
Or should I do it with a black roof and center part of the wing?

Sorry I'm not too good with photoshop.

Blue tC:
It looks more like a chick car. So seeing that helps me decide that I'm not getting a black roof.
Thanks for the idea though.

My friend has a paint gun and the materials/paint will only cost me about $300. So if you ask me it's better than paying $3000.[/quote]
This is not a good idea. Not trying to burst your bubble but You can always tell the difference between a $300. pint job and a $3000. paint job just by looking at it. If you are going to paint out side how are you going to control the dust and wind and bugs and anything from sticking to your car and messing up the entire thing? I painted my fender out side and a little tiny bug stuck to it during the first clear coat. That f*kn bug ruined the it. had to sand the fender again and spray it again. You want a sterile environment. No dust, wind, or bugs. Humidity is much bigger problem. I think if you are going to paint the car so that it looks good then spend the money.

But the thing is that I'm a perfectionist with a mild case of OCD and I'm not going to just paint 4-7 coats on the outside and that's it. I'm Painting everything with no less than 10 coats.
Plus we're going to cover up his whole garage and have it dust free. The prep work will take me at least 3 days.
I don't know the word impossible
Did the headlights a while back but just forgot to post the pics.
I painted the housing Graphite (same color as my rims and interior)
Baked

Sanded

Primer

Finished and Mounted

I think they turned out awesome. They're sealed shut so no fogging up

Looks really good... I wish mine were that clear... When I baked them and painted them black the lenses were already a bit messed up so I couldn't really fix anything...
My lenses are pretty messed up too. Previous owner lived in the farm lands and never washed the car. So there's still bug guts I'm trying to get off
