That sounds AWESOME. Ugh, I need to get on this stuff.

I have a question for people that know stuff! Is there any benefit or disadvantage to choosing open dump versus recirc? I mean, other than the sound.

Also, do you think that the sound is annoying at all? That is, do you find it opens up when you didn't really want it to? Or, is it something you may tire of? I'm trying to figure out if I want the open or recirc, and as much as I love the sound, I don't want to get annoyed by it.

Thanks!

^ I'm also kind of curious about the "livability" of an open dump. Sure I love the sound when I hear clips, but will this be opening under little throttle to the point where it is annoying and attracting unwanted attention?

The sound is loud and I love it. Why? Because it comes when I want it to. I have a girlfriend who doesn't share this same passion as I. She doesn't even notice any differences and I drive with her in the car for about 300 miles a week. If I want to get my merge on a bit quicker, it will bark a little and maybe get half a scream out; enough to turn a couple heads but not enough to get the cops chasing after you. I think it is a great modification for the mild mannered civilian who would like to double as a super hero f1 driver at the slam of a pedal.

HP gains I believe aren't very different, I have no tests proving one way or the other though. The open dump helps eliminate some of the turbulence caused by the merge of the wastegate dump and the exhaust. This, in theory, would free up some room for the gasses to move a bit more freely allowing for some more power to be made. Honestly, I did it for the crazy *** look on my passengers face when the wastegate opens up the flood gates.
