10.30@132mph FP Red/Stock block with clutch slip

It appears as if today I have found another weak link. The new found power from the 40psi race gas tune appears to be too much for my 1.5 month old Exedy HD Twin Disc clutch. The first run out of the box was a 10.9@125mph with the clutch slipping nearly through all of 4th gear. I played with the clutch pedal adjustment a bit and it helped some, I then turned the boost down a couple of pounds and the slip was at least bearable at that point to run a 10.301 with a 1.56 60ft. Traction was fantastic today as I was able to get a new PB 60ft 1.500. I am confident if it were not for the clutch issue the car has another 2-3mph in it.

60ft - 1.564
330- 4.341
1/8- 6.679
mph- 104.14
1000- 8.607
1/4- 10.301
mph- 132.70

Here is a video of the one pass where the clutch slipped the least:

Thanks Indy. It appears I am getting to the point of trial and error finding the weak links in my setup. I honestly expected either the block or the Tcase to give me issues before this clutch. It doesn't even have 5,000 miles on it. Guess it's time for a Triple.

Thanks. Days like this are a bit discouraging but when I think back to how much progress I have made over the last year it makes it hard to complain.

This turbo has far surpassed my original expectations. It truly is one of the ultimate street/strip turbo's.

Well you can definitely hear the tone shift in the rpms in the gears. Makes me wonder if I should upgrade to the triple also.

If you plan on going over 500wtq, and we both very well know you are, I'd upgrade the twin into a triple if I were you.

That is looking like the plan. Once I get everything together, on race gas it should be close to 600 tq.

Very nice times! Are you using a ported stock exhaust manifold or do you have something else?

I was there today to watch the fun. Another thing Chris failed to mention was there was a very strong side wind. I believe the car would have trapped higher without the wind. It was at some points a 10 degree head wind. The wind was strong enough to push car sideways. In effect it would be driving an AWD car with poor alignment. Regardless of the slightly disappointing results the car is amazing. Consistent back to back passes at 132mph on the stock block is crazy good. he must have made 18 passes and most were with no cool down. Two thumbs up goes to Scott at TTP for doing a great job tuning that beast.

Good work Chris as usual.
