AMS Product Release: Evolution X Clutch Master Cylinder Reinforcement Ring

AMS EVO X Clutch Master Cylinder Reinforcement Ring

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Clutch Master Cylinder Reinforcement Ring strengthens the factory unit from splitting apart. We have found that the plastic master cylinder in the EVO X can break into two pieces under even regular driving conditions. This becomes even more of a problem when an aftermarket clutch is used due to the added pedal pressure. This ring goes around the master cylinder and clamps it tightly together to ensure it will never split in two again!

Applications:
  • Lancer Evolution X

$49.95

Available for purchase HERE!

Looking for some clarification on this;
Recently I have heard that people are still braking their Master Clyinders even with this installed.
With that from what I am told is AMS is telling people that this part is not meant to prevent this from happening but just to help you limp home.

This is confusing because your post here is nearly identical to what is on your website and from what I am reading this is to prevent the issue and is in no way a repair. Please clairify for us would you.

This piece will not repair a broken unit and it is not guaranteed to prevent the unit from breaking all the way. It will prolong it and strengthen the stock unit. Not to mention in the event it does brake most of the time it will allow the owner to drive the car carefully a short distance to avoid being towed somewhere. For only $50.00 is a worthwhile investment. Hell a tow could cost more than that.
