Great info... I've been running amsoil for about 3 years already 2 1/2 in the g35 and 6 months in the evo. I'm very satisfied with amsoil as my car is a DD and I'll put about 2k miles on it and check the dip stick and the oil is still at the right level and it looks like I just changed my oil. Def the best oil out there. If I need a oil change and don't have amsoil I will refuse to change my oil and I won't drive the car, or baby it untill I get some :-)

Me too, I was a surprised at how high the zinc and Phosphorus numbers were honestly.

I've attached the full report. Take a look and let me know what you think. The original report noted 2200 miles but really it was 2400. Just a mistake on their part when they entered in that number.

All in all, i'm happy and will send off another sample of the SSO in the car next spring.

It opened for me earlier today too. I'm betting you're right that his Reader is out of date.

thank you

i tried from 2 diffferent pc's and nothing oh well, you saved the day

The report looks amazing, you said this is AMSOIL dominator 10W30?

this proves you can easily run twice the milleage on that oil, and iam sure if you did that and ran another analysis it would show that you can run a couple more miles and prove to many people that extended drain intervals are the norm here, however that could quickly change when you race like the OP.

i like how the first 6 metals on the report are close to zero and in some cases are zero meaning you engine is running like a baby's but SMOOOTH!
I also like how that oil has the high content package of Zinc and Phos, i like how you dont have any fuel dilution, you viscocities are intact you poured a 10W30 and a 10W30 came out @ 2400 miles on the oil

man it gives me piece of mind having a good oil that will protect my 4G63 and that hot smoking journal turbo wich they tend to get hot and break down oil's quick.

Good to hear another AMSOIL customer is happy with a good solid engine!

I'm really happy with the car and the engine this year. IMO, I put it through a ton of abuse and it has continued to come through with flying colors as proven by the multiple oil anaylsis reports I've done.

Going back over my notes, I did a total of 17 days on track this year! 4 lapping days, 2 days instructing and driving students, and 11 days of competition against others and the clock!

Everything held up well. In fact, my worse issue was a cracked rim on my very last day this year. I think that just proves I'm going really fast...lol.

Does anyone know the difference between SSO and the 5w and 10w 30 oils?

I've heard the Dominator oils use a Pao and Poe base oil blend, while the others use a less expensive diester base oil. The poe is used in the Dominator oils to handle high temperatures. Mobil also uses these esters.

I was reading on bitog about the friction modification in the sso oil. It is an impressive oil, especially over long drain intervals.

I'm surprised more people are not running Redline. Their newer 0w-20, 0w-30 and 0w-40 look great. All of their oils have the highest shear stability of any synthetic.

You need to clarify by Product Codes.. as you did with SSO and the went to 5W-30 and 10W-30....

IF you are talking ASL 5W-30 and ATM 10W-30, they are PAO Based Products. Diesters were back in the 70's and early 80's. If you are talking the XL Products, they are High Grade Group III Products..

Part of the problem with doing "Searches" is that new information does not come about and with oils, that is every few months at times. Much of the problem with BITOG is most don't know what they are talking about... Some do, most don't.

The Dominator oils are PAO Products as well

SSO has a very Robust Additive package allowing it's Superior Performance.

As far as Redline... I think you better check a little further..

Hi, yes ASL and ATM are pao based but use diesters as well. Probably no more then 10%.

Redline's oils have the higher shear stability I have seen to date.
