this was STRAIGHT 93 guys,

basic bolt ons and cams (our manifold and turbo)...

This car was strong, hit 449whp at 27.8 but i backed it down!

it was hot too, and humid...

stock evo X 2008 makes 235whp here,

the torque was very nice, i love those cams...

Thanks for coming to us danny, was glad to get the turbo and manifold combo on your car, even happier to tune it!

Why did you back it down??? I thought 450whp was ok for the stock motor.

He backed it down so the motor is not under stress and last longer.
car feels like a different beast, 1/4 times soon

I like this torque curve, but I noticed full boost comes at around 4,500 rpms with peak torque about 5k. This is about the same time a 35r comes to life too.

Cost wise this setup is about $4k right? turbo+mani+cams+dp which is about the cost of a 35r kit. This helps out alot.

not even close......
This car / turbo has no real noticeable lag

the 35R will lag till the cows come home

A 35R on a 4b11T 2.0L will not hit full boost anywhere close to 4500 rpm, add at least 1,000 rpm to that and you might be closer.

Really, I know this is a different dyno but look at this 35r on pump 91 this makes almost the same torque as this bbx setup at 4k rpm.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/7956220-post1.html

I know the numbers might not translate but hitting peak torque shouldn't matter.

CBRD chart is in 3rd, and a different dyno

HBspeed chart is in 4th, and a different dyno

I always quote my spool numbers referencing 3rd

I would add 500-800rpm or so from 4th to 3rd gear

and you shall have one,

for those talking about 35R's and gears...

take into account the multiple posts about using gear dependant mivec to alleviate surge caused by load and cam timing in taller gears where the tubo spools quicker...

same sort of thing applies,

we tune in 3rd on 5 speeds, test in 4th, and verify on the street in every gear

a 35R will not spool like this, we did testing on garretts 3076 and it did not spool like the BBX

This is a stock housing option.. bottom line
