Headlights Too Low After Loosing Weight
So I just recently had some work done at SSPTX and due to my mods I now am having some issues with my headlights. I just replaced my full exhaust with a custom full aluminum 3" vband exhaust. Loosing this weight in the rear along with adding a 4" intercooler + tranny cooler and other goodies to the front resulted in my lights aiming way too low.
Now even with my lights in the highest setting I still can't see farther than 10-15 feet in front of the car at night. With the high beams there is no problem but I definitely can't drive around town with them always on.
This wasn't a problem until I almost hit a deer last night. So... Anyone have any ideas on how I could fix this??
(I'm not adding a light bar to the front of my car lol)

That's weird? Do you wear glasses lol. Maybe your eyes are the problem. ha ha Umm i would say Hid's will help things and make them brighter but why this happened over some mods doesn't sound like it should have affected it.
Haha. I've never heard of that. There is no way that just those mods would have done that. I'm gonna guess that maybe the headlights aren't level now or something.. with them taking the bumper off and stuff, maybe they accidently altered something.
There is a switch that adjusts te headlight height to the left of the steering wheel. They may have turned it all the way down inadvertent. Check and see if your problem gets resolved after turning the knob all te way up.
If you change the rake of the car (either raising the rear or front more in relation to the other end) you have to adjust your headlights. Cars with HIDs with the adjustment wheel inside have to do this too, since that wheel is intended to be just a temporary adjustment for occasions when you carry rear passengers or something heavy in the trunk . If the adjuster in the dash is adjusted all the way, did you check to see if there's another leveling mechanism behind the headlight? I know the non-HID lights have an adjustment screw behind the actual bulb. I adjusted the low beams to be almost as high as my high beams by accident once. (It's back down to a more reasonable level now)
This might help..
Think you'll need a screwdriver that's as long as the engine cover, though. I tried adjusting mine a few times and just couldn't get it.. had the dealership do it.
From 54A-177 of the service manual..

You can also try the adjustment screw in the pics posted above, I believe it's 5mm and you may be able to get to it a little better than using a screwdriver. There's not alot of room for your hands so you may have to move the little fuse holder on the drivers side and the white tank on the passenger side.
i did this... make sure to measure everything first before you actually do it... mark where 0,1,2,3,4 stops and then make the adjustment. my #2 is now 0, #4 is now #2 and my 0 is now -2... which means 2 clicks higher than it was when it was at 0.
I mean exactly what I said. The bumper cover has 2 white clips that stick out and slide into slots on the bottom of the headlights. If you don't believe me, look for yourself.
