It could well be the RA year revision. The v25 beta-map's "sharp/strong" shift plastus liked in his 2011 was so abrupt in my 2009 it almost knocked my teeth out.

Later on today, I'll put up a few sets of variant maps. This should be interesting...

I'm running the stock pill 93 map, so if you could post that variant up for testing as well that'd be great. Looking forward to it!

Knocking teeth out sounds fun. Let's do it!

Hi keplite137.

You're currently running a special tweaked 2011 ROM version I did (guinea pig advance party, lol), with settings designed for more aggressive SST clutch pressure. That's one of the two things I'm gonna try in tonight's test map upload.

How are you finding your shift feel and driveability?

aww he got it too?!? now i feel less special

in my case all my shifts feel flawless and aside from a few cold temp shifts (a bit rough) for the first 5 mins, its as smooth as a cold yeungling on a hot day! Ive had no problems anywhere that i can see with it, but i also wasn't getting the rev hang/slipping after the .018 rev.

Hope this helps!

"Hello, my special friend! I have many special friends.... but you... you are special!"

It does indeed. That's great news. So let's get that revision of yours out for more 2011 users to try... and maybe take it a step further and see if we can mix in the 2009/2010 style throttle to sharpen it up off the line.

Stay tuned...

Haha almost sounds creepy but thats prolly just cause i dont know him. Why did he stop saying it? did you lose your specialness? .

Glad to hear more RA owners are going to be getting more out of their cars! and not just 2011's too!

Btw I thought of a name for the guinea pigs! The "A" Team!

No no not that! as in Alpha!

Okay, it's 2011 test-map time. This is for people who want to be guinea pigs.

Attached you will find a selection of ROMs. If the one you want isn't there, shout - I'll maybe replace an unwanted file with something more in demand (because I want to keep the pile-o-files reasonably manageable).

2011 v27.018 "Works #1" ROMs

Changes: Designed to increase SST clutch pressure, reduce slip by way of requested-torque and limit changes.

History:
Exactly matches my current 2009 ROM setup. Also tested for the past week or so on 2011 ROM by OverCorrupt and keplite137 (who therefore don't need to download this).

Feedback, please!

Rich

Part Deux...

2011 v27.018 "Works #2" ROMs

Changes: As with Works #1 above, but also with throttle map stuff... designed to make for more responsive part-throttle driving.

History:
Mitsubishi changed the underlying SST throttle-related tables quite a bit for 2011 ROMs. This test revision uses the exact 2009/2010 style tables from v27 in preference to 2011-style configuration found in v27.018.

Notes: This has not been run like this in any testing phase before now - it's real alpha-test stuff. Treat it accordingly - plan your test driving with safety in mind. If you're not in a position to test it with absolute safety (for yourself and others), don't test it at all.

Feedback, please! Assuming you haven't run screaming by now.

Rich

I'll be giving the two maps a go on my way to/from work today. Should I start off with any particular map? OverCorrupt and keplite137; have you experienced any rev hang with the works #1 map?

Note that "Works #2" is the "Works #1" ROM plus the extra throttle-related change. I'll revise the description to make that clear.

If you try #1, you'll be trying out increased clutch pressure stuff. Then, when you try #2, you'll be adding in the throttle stuff as well.

Or you can go straight to trying #2 on for size.

I have been running the works one for about 5 days now, so far shifts are good except for the first few minutes(its 28f here on long island) as overcorrupt has mentioned. I will load the works 2 and give you some feedback.

I will grab em both and do some testing tonight and tomorrow barring any weather issues. I also plan to do a bit of launching with them to see if indeed the 2009/10 throttle tables allow it better than the stock 2011 like I think may be the case.

My rev hang/delayed shift problem got fixed with the patch that was released 4-5 days ago to the public. So i cant say if the works fixed my problem or not, cause it was already fixed before putting the works into effect.

I would suggest going with Works 1 so you have the least changes available so you can get used to the feeling of the car, and if you run into any problems, its easier to describe and figure out what exactly is going on so Rich can do another Revision easier. Then move on to the works 2. Thats just my opinion though.

So i finally had nicer weather when i woke up. its about 45F here and i had no problem with the few minutes of minor rough shifts at normal driving speed. So my guess is somewhere around 40F is when its too cold for the tranny and when that problem arises of rough shifts.

I do hope to test works 2 out before work but im a bit busy today so i will prolly have to wait till after work.
