are you able to read out fault codes from the ems if you get a check engine light?

 

you will not get a CEL with the AEM. There are no internal diagnostics with the system. This means also that it will not pass any OBD emissions testing.

 

will you be able to detect a misfire form the ems or an engine knock?

 

you can log almost all the parameters from the engine and its sensors. Or you can watch it real-time on the screen of your computer.

 

Your check engine light can be your new shift light.

 

How would you make the check engine light your shift light???

 

Low side #10 is the check engine light.

Go to Setup>Advanced Setup>Shift Light vs. Gear>Options

Choose LS10 as the output. Then setup the shift light vs. gear graph for the desired rpm you want the shift light to come on for the desired gear.
