Mine is zip tied behind the glovebox to the left and its holding fine. I noticed some zip ties are more brittle than others so maybe try a different brand.

Mine slid into the space where the factory ECU sits. It kind of clips/snaps in behind the everything and fits perfectly. No duct tape, zip ties, or velcro. Almost like it was meant to "snap" in place when pushed into the area the right way. It actually does not rest on the plastic wire cover either... It's been there for over 3 years without a problem.

zip ties and velcro. Velcro alone wasn't enough for me, it kept slipping down.

Heavy duty velcro on the stock ECU mounting bracket. Doesn't budge. However, I wanted my serial cable connected at all times and that doesn't fit with the bar that's there. So, I tilted it some so the serial connecter clears the bar. Not as sound as the flush velcro job but it seems to be working.
