I currently have an AEM EMS in my Evo 8 and I was planning on getting an EGR blockoff plate for the car, however, I have read quite a few threads that stated it threw a CEL. I was wondering if anyone has used this in a car with the AEM EMS and if it can be corrected with it.

Also, does the brand of EGR plate really matter? All of them are insanely cheap, but my 2 choices are MAPerformance and STM.

 

I have mine blocked off with aem and there is no problem. I got mine off eBay too. The old sam way of doing it is using part of a soda can lol. I don't recommend that though.

 

You will not have any issues with these at all while using an AEM.

Lol. Yeah, I can honestly say I wouldn't want to try that. Also, my SRS light is on, but I am assuming that is because of the AEM EMS?

 

Will it throw a code with a STOCK ecu?
