For those using GT35R Turbos
I need to know, at what rpm does the GT35R starts spooling, I currently have the GT30R and I'm thinking on upgrading to the 35R, also what back housing are you using it, I have the 0.87.
the GT turbos are VERY efficent. you should have full boost by 4500rpms. we run precision sc61's and those DONT have a gt wheel on the turbine side, but are capable of similar hp. the sc61 normally spools by 4800rpms. the gt35r should spool up faster than the sc61.

Its been soo long since I had my 35r, but I know for a fact it spooled alot quicker than my 6262. The lag on a 35r isnt too bad at all. Ive had a 50 trim, 3076, 35r, 6262, and I think the 35r was the funnest to drive.
Yea unless you do many special things to the car and mods to help spool there is no way you can expect 3500 spool out of a 35r. Even most stroked 35r set ups are spooling after 4000. So expect at least 4400 plus for full boost, on a 2.0.
I have a 2.0 with .63 hotside.
"Spooling" at 4300 =20psi
and hitting full boost at 4800 to 5000

Unless you autocross the car you I wouldn't worry about turbo lags I have the hta 3586 on 2.3 and it come on instantly and get 22psi at like 4300 rpm at 4900 rpm I got 525 torque to the wheels on the dyno
