What is a fair price for the AEM EMS installed and Dynotuned? I live in Connecticut
It looks like i have to choose between a couple tuners up here to deal with Pruven who is just 20 minutes from me or Turbo Trix who is 2.5- 3hrs from me i have been leaning to TT because they seem like they mess with this system alot more. But then again AL from dynoflash has AEM ems and is hand and hand with Pruven and tuning. Let me know your thoughs. Also Turbo Trix is 2040 installed and dyno Tuned is this a good price considering the system is like 1400 or so not even sure what the best price is with everything i will need.
Inform me need to get this installed in the next week
Thanks

Make sure you buy the EMS with the built in wideband or els you will have to rely on a tuner's wideband which cost more in labor. I would go to Pruven. They seem to have a better rep from people I know. Al's car runs very well consistantly. This is my opinion. I say that because I have a few friends that love to call me out because they know it all. Good luck with your decision. The EMS is a great system. You will love it.

i would go to pruven al post whats done to his car and dyno sheets. TT is all secret and their car is in the new turbo mag it make just under 700 at the wheels with a 100 shot. al ams make 650 to 670 with out juice. i think TT with out was 580 at the wheels.

Thanks for all the replys so far. From what i have seen Pruven hasnt really Tuned any Evos with EMS, and Turbo Trix has done numerous EMS systems in Evos with great results and is AEM EMS certified not sure about Pruven. I just want the truth about these companies and who is the one to go with. Please PM me and let me know if thats what it takes. Spending 2450 on AEM EMS with wide band is not a small sum of money i want it done right the first time.
Thanks

this is some ideas on what you spend for a set up w/ the EMS with and with out the UEGO
1500.00 (give and take ) EMS without the UEGO
you need an air/fuel gauge like zeitronix. 399.00 which you are able to have a display unit that will tell you you air/fuel
sensors 3.5MAP 129.00
AIT RRE sells them for 35.00
installing the unit and removing the MAF near 200.00 + you need to make an intake pipe that removes the old set up (with MAP) + the zeitronix install which you are looking near 100-150.00
thats near 2363.00 + tuning
with the EMS w/UEGO seen it for near as 1700.00
+ sensors if you plan to remove MAF
the only thing is that you will not have an external gauge for air/fuel
so you are looking at near 2064.00 w/ out tuning
so you can have an idea what it takes with the EMS

If you want to make a drive and have it done right go to David Buschur. I've had both Pruven and TT work on my car, I now make the drive out to OH. Trust me. Call them up and get a price quote. The OH turnpike has amazing rest stops too, Panera and Au Bain Pan!

I would say go with Pruven. I have had all my work/tuning done there and they are always right on with their work. And like superchargedgtz said, u can have Al or Dan do your tuning, both of them know their **** down pat. Al runs the EMS on his Evo and has tuned several other cars with it that I'm aware of, and Dan has been tuning these engines for a long time. It may cost a little more but I think the quality of the work and tuning is well worth it, just my .02 cents

Go to TT, unless you want to leave with more problems than you came with like I did. Nothing like having a clutch installed and leaving with an IC hose not clamped and your alignment F'ed up and not have them return your calls. TT will never do you wrong. I have been dealing with them with my old DSMs for at least 5 years.. and now with the EVO. It does also make alot of sense to go to the place with the fastest EVO since they apparently know something. I would drive to OH too if I lived in PA since it's probably closer and BR is reputable but living in New England TT makes the most sense bar none.
