inconsistant warm start up's?

when my car is warm, it's difficult to start, as it will crank 5-8 times before it lights, 1 of 5 times, will it start on the 2nd rev.

when its cold, the engine starts on the 2nd crank!

i have applied the basic start-up help/fixes.....

i tried messing with initial crank pulse, ign adv. & retard, retard appears to help a bit, but still its very inconsistant. fuel pump is on for 5 seconds.......?

idle is great, warm or cold, a/c on or off, idle is a non issue.

any insight will be apreciated into a more consistant warm engine start up.

basic mods: 264cams, oem injectors, 3" tback w/cat, custom ic piping & 65mm tb

what is your "basic setup" includes?

clicked Sync Early and changed the tooth time min to 500?

When you put the key to "on" position, do you hear the fuel pump going? I usually wait until the fuel pump stops whining.

you should post your map on here, maybe I could compare it with mine.

I had the same problem, I've fixed the problem with few changes, and now it starts within 2 seconds of crank and it warms up great without an idle problem.

my car starts within 2 seconds, but not as quick as the oem ecu when warm.
