Difficulty starting when engine is warm

running 2000cc injectors and sparktech pro ignition, 93 pump, ~520whp. I let the fuel pumps prime before starting. Normally starts right away on first crank. No issues. Idles at 1000rpm

Recently it would not start if I shut the car off to get gas and restart. The engine cranks but I can't here it firing up or trying to fire up. Engine turns over but doesn't get that initial spark sound/ignition sound.

Would have to wait 30sec to a minute and try again. AFter maybe the 5th try it would start, sometimes giving a little throttle.

Worried it won't start at all one day and spend a night at Mobil:lol:

Now it has also happened on a cold engine. took 4 attempts. First it would fire but not sustain long enough to complete firing all the way. 2nd and 3rd attempts, no firing up sound, just cranking. 4th it fired and was fine

who's tuning your car?

are you running a air temp sensor?

The car's new to me. Was last tuned by Cris Speed at AWD per previous owner, but I don't know when that was. But I'm going to get a more local tune soon just to check and make sure everything is still running crips.

I'm sure a new tune will help the issue.

I'm too new new to the scene so not sure about air temp sensor.

Sounds like I'll have to put this thread on pause until I get a new more recent tune

update: car starts up fine. By waiting for the fuel pumps to prime and immediately turning the key, and as soon as it fires to let go of the key, it has started every time. No issues since

I have the problem where when the car is warm it takes 3-5 sec before it starts. But cold it start just like with stock ecu after the pumps prime.

Mine pretty much starts up right away but it's common with AEM for slightly longer starts
