AEM Series 2 Evo 9 Mivec not responding
So I got my car back together after a new built motor. My tuner went to start tuning and noticed the car wasn’t acting right. As he was checking everything he noticed that my mivec was showing advanced to 39.96. No matter what target value he put in it wouldn’t change. Has anyone else have this happen?

Did you check if your intake cam sensor is connected?

I have. I have noticed that on the 9 the cam sensors have different part numbers. What happens if you put the wrong one in?

If both sensors are the same, try switching them and see if it runs differently.

Just for the record on the evo 9 if you do not have the correct cam position sensor in place then the mivec will not work. I ordered new oem sensors and installed them and the mivec started working.

So intake cam sensor is different from exhaust cam sensor? I check on an online store before and it showed the same part number.
