EvolutionM - Mitsubishi Lancer and Lancer Evolution Community

I am looking for some help for my 2.3 stroker evo 8. To make a long story short I have had if for ten years and I don't even have 200 miles on it because I bought some one else POS and I just had kids and a new house at the time. my family has always come first when it came to fixing the car. I just put a new 2.3 strocker in it and I need to put some miles on it before I get it dyno tuned. Iam going to RS mototsports here in Minnesota on the 17 of june. when I first go the car I went tp DP performance to get it tuned so that every thing was running good, That's when I found out that it had a lot of problems and rod knock so the tune was never finished so the car runs really bad now with the new motor. I have not gone for a drive in it for the fear of fing it up. I have always had a v8 rx7 that was my fun car when I found out that my wife at the time was having twins. I know I need a four door car for a fun car. So I sold the rx7 and got a 2003 GSR evo 8 that came with a lot of mod. but it turned out to have a lot of problems. So I took if home and its been in my garage ever since. Now that I got everything fixed. I tried to see if it would run and it does it just really bad.
So any help would be grateful.
