it's a 99 model was stock when i bought it. i done the transplant a month later. ralliart supplied me with the conversion kit. the motor and box was originally in a mirage cup car. so it's tweeked up a bit. since then i have had the headers ceramic coated. and also added a ralliart tuned e.c.u. I also upgraded the brakes using Evo 4 rotors & pajero calipers(front) and rear disc setup from i guess a cyborg in Japan. Bilstein Coil-overs were also added to help it handle as good as it stops.
thankz 4 the reply

sorry i can't help with ur question, just wanna ask u some questions...
i know ur engine isn't stock, but does the engine pull, cause i read the engine doesnt feel as powerful as the actually power figures suggest.. can it beat a sohc vtec motor with similar pwr output.
i was really interested in the engine though once i read an article, and got partially turned away...
also how much was the full engine transplant, parts and labour...

thatz ok. all i can say about the power is that it is very impressive for a 1.6dohc. it's pretty boggy down low but when up in the revs it just keeps pullin & pullin it's unbelievable. I have raced a couple of vtech's one of them being a type R integra. which i actually beat. so i am very pleased. The total cost of parts was around $5300 and labour was bugger all cause i work for a mitsu dealer.
if u have any more queries dont hesitate to reply.

ok, u got me interested in this motor again.., i thought the motor was lacking and was opting for the v6 fto motor... umm whats the availabilty on the motor or was this like a rare occasion...
how about a t3/4 turbo, i see alot of vtecs have these turbos, and probably have similiar pwr.

RPW manafactures a turbo kit which woudl go on otherwise you could get some of ourperformanc upgrades for the engine being we have our race design 4-1 which kick *** over the standard mivec headers with more torque and top end, fuel pressure regulator kit, oversize throttle body, cold air induction kit and ifyou want to go further we are releasing mivec cmashafts etc.

Yeah, what is the availability of the CE Mivecs like? I've asked before, but never really got a straight answer.
Do u know of any sites with info on them? I've checked most of the links form the RPW site, but I want more, more, more!

The only reason i got mine easy was that i worked for ralliart for 2 years doing prep on the mirage cup cars. but i know alot of people who wan't them but they can't get them. i think ralliart arn't selling them anymore. But there r different places to try such as import wreckers. but there is alot to consider such as differnt g/box,comp,wiring,upgraded brakes + brackets and bits.
good luck
Shane.

I already have the race spec 4-1 headers, thanks for the options you have suggested. Im am very interested in the bolt on turbo kit. i will be definatly looking into that.
thankz

What about a supercharger, that way will still get the constant performance and not mess with the Mivec and when it kicks in etc.
