Why is it that a 2.5 spools up that 30R almost the same as the 2.0? Is the exhaust plumbing THAT bad for spoolup?

a 30r on a 2.0 makes like 350 ft lbs of tq, the displacement more than makes up for the inefficient(long) headers.

it has a lot to do with the general engine layout. The intake manifold and header design on the subaru definitely leave something to be desired.
