**AMS Product Release**AMS Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X “TMP” Camshafts

AMS Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X "TMP" Camshafts

The AMS EVO X TMP camshafts for the 4B11T are simply the best all around solution for anyone with an upgraded turbo. After extensive testing, AMS offers a cam design that gives you the best of both worlds; massive power gains spread across a wide power band while maintaining excellent street manners and improved turbo response over the competition.

The Biggest Power Band For Upgraded Turbos

When we set out to create the perfect cam profile for this specific application we focused on more than just peak horsepower numbers. We concentrated our attention on making the most useable power throughout the rev-range without sacrificing driveability that so often plagues cars with large turbos and camshafts. What we ended up with exceeded even our expectations; we found the perfect balance of lift and duration to bring you the best cam choice on the market! The AMS TMP cams provide you with massive peak and low end power with great spool up characteristics. The perfect combo for an unbeatable machine!

Unmatched Power Gains And Excellent Response

The AMS TMP Camshafts are designed for any Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X or Ralliart with an upgraded turbo, be it bolt-on or full turbo kit and will work on a factory ECU. Power gains can be anywhere from 50 to 80 horsepower depending on turbo selection and boost levels. Whether you’re driving on the street or track, you can expect excellent response and power throughout the entire rev range! Available exclusively through AMS and its dealer network, the AMS TMP camshafts offer you optimized performance unmatched by anything on the market!

Features

* 50-80HP gains depending on turbo selection and boost levels
* Compatible with cars running the stock ECU
* Extraordinary power and excellent street manners
* Unmatched turbo spool up and driveability
* Manufactured by Kelford Cams exclusively for AMS

Product Notes

* These camshafts require an upgraded set of valve springs and retainers *

Cam comparisons tests are very expensive... even more so on the EVO X. We will not be investing that kind of time into comparisons. These cams were designed based on the countless number of cars we have tuned here using many variations of camshafts. We simply saw many areas of improvement and built what we consider "the most powerful" cam available.

We had a chance to test some new AMS spec camshafts in our street class EVO X. The car was baselined with kelford 'B' cams on the same tune that the car ran out at Buttonwillow and set the street class record with, narrowly beating our Shop GTR, both being piloted by AMS's president Martin Musial.

The design goal for these cams was to make more power, while still being able to retain adequate drivability on the stock ECU. Major Modifications to the car are as follows:

AMS 2.3L motor with 10:1 compression ratio
AMS Prototype CNC head package w/ 1mm over valves
AMS Spec Camshafts
AMS FMIC, LICP, UICP
AMS 900x turbo kit @ 33 psi
AMS Single exit 3" exhaust
AMS Custom paralell fuel pump system
AMS Fuel rail
ID 2000cc injectors @ 72% IDC
ECU controlled boost, single bottom port WG solenoid

Here you can see the results from our cam testing. These cams are available now. There are no losses on the bottom end, and it makes about 25more hp up top with 1 lb LESS BOOST! These cams are good for an easy 30-35whp over the already awesome B cams.

Thanks for the dyno chart, but many of us aren't running the 900x turbo kit and 500hp. That's a big turbo.

How does this grind compare to that of the standard Kelford A's and B's? How would these do on an FpRed and the smaller turbo's? Or are these meant for a big turbo?

In comparison to the Kelford B cams, you will not loose any spool up and will make more top end power even with smaller turbos such as the FP Red, Black, Green, ect. We just do not recommend these cams on a car with the stock turbo.
