AMS FMIC v2 Inlet/Outlet WARNING
I just wanted to give a quick warning about how tight you tighten t-bolts on the v2 FMIC as I was able to crush the outlet with a t-bolt.
Also, I've had a number of I/C's over the years and never experienced anything like this.
It is possible my unit was compromised as I did purchase it 2nd hand off Evom but even then it looked mint and I've purchased about 6 2nd hand Intercoolers over the years and never ran into this.

Unfortunately this happens when T-bolt clamps are not torqued properly.
The problem with T-bolt clamps is that they will keep tightening to the point where the pipe crushes. We don't recommend using T-bolt clamps as they are not needed. We don't even use them on our Omega GTR.
Heavy duty worm gear clamps work perfectly for us and will never cause this to happen to the pipe.

I cant believe AMS's stance is "use worm gear clamps."
I am running diesel amounts of boost.

You can run t-bolt clamps but they aren't necessary and no matter what pipe or intercooler its very easy to over tighten them and bend the tube. If you want to use t-bolts than that is fine just be careful. I find it easier to just use quality worm gear clamps and tighten them to around 40 in/lbs.

Straight from the AMS website with worm clamps on a 900hp evo

I could of told you 5+ years ago tbolt clamps suck. Make sure you have a really tight fit up as well. That helps a lot to keep piping in it's place. The less room they have to move the less likely they will pop off.
