Autoplus Evo 5 is World's Fastest Evo 5 Runs on Some AMS Parts
 

Perhaps the world's fastest Evo 5 as I had done research and I saw no Evo 5 that had topped this. Maybe someone here can correct me if I am wrong.

The Philippine's fastest car and perhaps the world's fastest Evo 5 makes use of the AMS VSR, AMS rail, and I know there are more AMS parts in it.

Time: 9.223 @ 155mph
Weather conditions: HUMID!!! about 33deg celsius
Drag strip: Done in an actual street that was converted into a drag strip (there are really no proper drag strips here in the Philippines).

I am sure there are more AMS parts inside... though I haven't confirmed anything yet. I just dunno if this will be considered in the AMS Power club.

I did research and I asked lots of people. As far as everyone knows and as far as my research took me, this Autoplus Evo 5 is considered as the fastest Evo 5 in the world, and I know Jonathan Tiu is focused to get into the 8s! If only the weather was good and we had a nice track like the ones in the US, this car would have entered the 8 sec category. {thumbup}

I just hanged up the phone with Kit@Autoplus pare. I was inquirnig about sending an Evo there for my brother and get it done/built by Autoplus. pm me if you know how to ship it there from here.

Why don't you just get your brother an Evo here. I know there are lots of Evo 7s right now looking for a new owner. I know there are also Evo 6 TMEs or 5s just out here. Its gonna be cheaper.

To send it here, it will cost more than 1m+ due to the taxes and duties. Evo 5s now go for 850k to 900k. Evo 6 TME may go from 900k to 1m.

I just wanted to showcase some of AMS parts that were used in the car and that had contributed significantly on its time. We never said that this is an AMS car.

I am trying to search youtube for a video but I can't seem to find any. Try asking Jon, maybe one of them was able to catch a video of this run. And all I saw was that sign in the car show.

good work wasnt this the car on a video were they took it to a formula track ??? or was that an evo 3 i think

there are old videos of this car but during that time, it was still running 10.5s and 10.2s. Someone out here must have a video of that 9.2 run. Vin, maybe Jon knows someone who has the video.
