I printed out the pictures then cut the toad out. I have strategically placed the toad on every picture of the WAPCE and I in the house. I think there were 8 total. We will see how long this goes before I am found out.

TL;DR - A toad lives outside my house. Took pictures of said toad and taped it to every picture in house of WAPCE and I.
Next logical progression is to put toad in a tank/bowl in the house before WAPCE comes over and take it out when she shows up and act sad.

That being said, you cannot expect to get the correct part if you don't first supply the exact part number.

The one that has been most disappointing is the Land Rover dealer. I think that they are used to dealing with old bitty types and soccer moms, because some of the crap that comes out of the Service Adviser's mouth is astounding. Considering that both Land Rovers (Evoque and Discovery Sport) have had to go back to the dealer on a flatbed two or three times before seeing 20k miles, I would not ever considering getting one of their vehicles. That coupled with their general "stuff just happens" attitude is a deal breaker and then some.
The Mitsubishi dealer I got my wut at was fine, but mostly because I lucked into the really, really fat salesman and he was too tired to be a PITA. He did try to get in the back seat to show me how roomy it is...try being the operative word That and a couple free oil changes were the only reason I went. The local dealers (I bought out of town) were terrible. One salesman climbed into a car that was on a lift with no wheels, turned it on, and revved the **** out of it to show me what the exhaust they could order for me sounded like...

I try to make friends with someone at the dealer, doesn't matter who it is, and then use that to get decent service. I helped a service writer at Subaru evict his brother (just basic advice and pointing him to a good guide book) and after that they'd pull cars off the lifts to get me in quickly when I did walk ins, even for recalls and stuff where I was not at the top of the list. But knowing a mechanic or even a salesman has worked as well.

For the Land Rovers, I'm the same way about BMW. Not only do they break down a lot, but the dealers are crap. Ford is **** too. I got the huh because the Boss broke down in front of the dealer and I was tired of fighting with Ford...but that's a long story.

An old guy I knew used to feed the shrews around his duck blind, nuts and stuff, so they would come running out when he showed up. I shot with him a few times, then inherited his blind when he died and kept the tradition up. I don't really duck hunt anymore so they probably don't remember me now.

The mitsu dealer I got my Evo from was pretty good. Their service manager was awesome, after the first few times I found one tech who was pretty good and only dealt with him from there out. The sales guys were like a generational collection of grand champion douche bags that had no direction in life chosen annually from every high school in the area.

BMW was a little hit or miss at first but, has been really good the last few years. Some of that may have something to do with me having reasonable access to the guy who owns it and the first service manager I dealt becoming GM of the dealership.

My WAPCE got an X3 and we really lucked out on the salesman; he was an actual car guy - he knew what a manual transmission was! (also he owned an NSX, S2000, and E46 M3). Figured we had a good in for not getting BMraped.

He left like 2 weeks after we picked up the X3.

There was a hot dog stand in the middle of the pentagon at one point. So possibly?

I like this move. It will be a few more months before he comes out of the ground, so hopefully she doesn't notice the pictures anytime soon.

I would be afraid a shrew would bite. Especially a hungry pack of them with those sharp a#@ teeth.

The Taco Bell is in the food court. That building in the courtyard does serve food, but it is not a Taco Bell. There are a bunch of businesses in the Pentagon. You have Game Stop, gift shops, tailors, dry cleaners, small convenience stores, a food court with about ten eateries, a buffet style market, a post office and a small DMV for Virginia residents. You can sign up for a tour and eat there for free, or if you know someone who has access, they can just get you a visitor badge and escort you. I might know a guy who has access to that building.

I kind of want to go to DC just to see how many cafeterias I can eat in. See how the government really works. I can't recall ever actually eating in the state capitol even though I interned there for 6 months 2 full days a week. Though on a couple of the occasions when I was the only one in the office for the day I did put my feet up on the bossman's desk and drink beers from his fridge. Coors Light and boxed wine was all that was in his fridge. He was an ex-sheriff, not a career politician.

Brunch today to meet my brother’s gf. This is the first one he has introduced to the whole family so it must be serious.

Don't you have something better to do today?

Or is your part all done?

My part is all done. Done with Atlanta as of Saturday at 1PM. Moving on to Vegas and Phoenix now.

Maybe next Daytona we could just take about $500K in cash down there, set it on fire in the garage and call it a day. At least then we could skip all the late nights and weekends leading up to that **** show.

Who knows. It's pretty hard to win a 200 lap race on lap 25.
