Well, I've never driven on the highway with them on as I figured it'd be too distracting to the # of drivers.
On our local roads its allowed as long as it's not showing red to the front of the vehicle. (I guess cuz your brake lights are that color ? )

you can get away with blue and green and yellow and white down here,dont bother trying red at all unless your parked,i found that out the hard way a few years ago,and the cop wasnt too happy with me at all,what colour is your lancer and your lights?

My Lancer is EB and my underglow is any color I want it to be.
