its a big unknown because its very very difficult to gauge the performance of the car since the learning curve is like 10 X longer then a normal car. But early attempts are showing that there maybe as much as a 3 or 4 hp difference between the USA spec and the Canadian spec.
And its unclear how much of an impact that our car has on mods. we might eventually get 100% of the power gains or maybe less. its super difficult to figure out. the ECU just isnt normal lol I asked alot of people and the first thing they say is WTF?

@ Evo Soul- Any more news with out Candian ECU. Also would a Re-Flash end all of this confusion? One more question. Say I did get the re-flash and got the rrm turbo. Would it work fine? Or would it go into limp mode as said before? Im still confused about this all.

I have a 09 GTS 2.4 and I can confirm my lancer took 4 days untill it "realized" the new RRM short intake was in place. There was a noticable performance hit and lagy throttle at 2500~ RPM which disapeared after about 300km of driving.

very interesting. How much is a flash from works and another ecu(say when u have any problems u don't need to re flash). I have a new lancer with some mods, and obviously like any one else on the forum would like to get the most out of it. If its a matter of a few hundred dollars. It might be the answer for a quick, reliable flash.
IF Mitsubishi does come out with another flash(which would be hard to believe, considering they still may change the new models ecu and move on) would they warranty it the same. And would it harness the same power as getting a flash from Works?. Thats an obvious answer. I highly doubt they would send out a recall for the sake of a few ponies and an unknown dispute for the time being. I wish they would adopt the works flash lol.

I believe buying a spare ECU would cost you around ~$1000-2000.
Works Eco flashing would cost you about ~$150USD and the P1 flash about ~400USD. Not sure if it was WORKS or RRM that offered post-purchase FREE flashing if the dealer did update the ECU.
