I talked to Wolf in Surrey, BC and they said that Evo is coming to Canada but it won't get here for another year

We will just have to see what happens when it shows up early 2003 in the

i doubt we're getting the 7 highly, but at least canada is finally getting mitsubishi let alone the evo. it'd be even cooler if they gave the 8 extra options exclusive to canada too (but like that'll ever happen)

evo 7 not 8 in spring

Yup heres the info:

Acording to the Edmonton Suns Auto Trend Mitsubishi will most likely, early in the new year(this spring), bring its Evo 7 to the market.

Apparently we wont see the EVO 8 till late fall and for some crazy reason we get the 7 and the USA gets the 8??
Yeah I guess its blame Canada time again

wwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaat? Canada will get the 7? well if you get the 7, there shouldn't be any reason for you not to get the 8. If anything the USDM evo 8 is safer than the 7, with all the changes that were necessary. I think someone made a mistake and didn't do their research when they wrote that article.

didnt do the reasearch

Yeah thats what I was thinking. The person that did the article was either on crack or was rushing to finish them for the auto show thats going on this week in Edmonton. First clue that the person didnt know what they were talking about was that they said that the evo 8 has 250hp. Umm hello I thought stock they were 271?

So they might have forgotten how to use roman numerals aswell as have there head up there butt.

-=I guess its hold on tight cross your fingers and pray to the Mitsu gods for the new Evolution=-

Sounds to me like that Edmonton dealership is only trying to get a non-refundable deposit and making stuff up to get it.

Going to get the lowdown

To hell with it. This weekend is the Edmonton Auto show so I will just have to shoot the breeze with the Mitsu dealer at the show and see when the hell we can all get our dream machines.

I will post the results from the show and If I get any good pics I will post aswell. Dunno how they will turn out I always end up taking more of the bikini girls then the cars.

NO NO NO, did we not read the press release from the presidant of mitsu canada, saying that they would not bring it here due to bumper regulations and we would have to wait till the first redesign. also the toronto auto show was this week and i asked every person with a mitsu shirt on and everyone of them said the same thing. we have to wait to the redesign so they can upgrade bumper safety. also if the states doesn't get the VII, we wont either.

yeah thats what i meant. i read the same thing, but lately some members here are talking about us either getting the EVO7, or the EVO8 in the spring in canada, thats why im all confused now. but at the end of the day, it really doesnt matter that much to me personally cause im getting the ralliart lancer in the fall since i cant afford 40+g's for an EVO anyways

i hope we get it, and i will mortgage everything to get one but in all honesty, i can't see it happening. and if for some reason the spend a load of money upgrading bumpers and get it legal it will only increase the price to about 50 G's
