stage 1 questions

so yesterday i decided to use my brand new AP and flashed stage 1 on my 2011 evo x gsr. the car felt fine driving around a bit. but when i try to get on it the car would accelerate up to 4k then would automatically slow down like i hit the speed limiter.

when i coast for a stop, the idle frantically drops down really low to the point that it felt like im going to stall once i reach full stop.

man, it's been bugging me. my car is COMPLETELY STOCK.

help. thanks in advance

did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the AP? advocating protunes is one thing but this does not seem normal even with a OTS tune

I actually checked and yes I do have the right map. I used stage 1 v403 91 ACN (because idk if the base's gas is really 91) still hesitates. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it a couple of times to no avail. Looks like my last resort is a pro tune. Fml..

Do you have any logs? When you return to stock does the problem go away?

Sounds like you're either hitting load/boost cut or you accidentally have Valet mode uploaded.

Yes that is correct. When I return to stock tune everything runs perfect. As for if im hitting boost load I have no clue.

I have checked it again and again. I would uninstall and reinstall then run stage 1 v403 acn 91. And still would have the same result. However I will run it again and see if I miss something. I'll make sure to take logs

update: i spoke to john today at cobb and he walked me through looking at my fuel pump relay, tubes underneath the engine cover, and look at my fuel rails. it lead my to a discovery that my car is rocking what it looks like either a 2150cc or 1100cc injectors.

thank you to cobb for their patience in me! at least now i know that i will just keep saving parts until i make a trip to plano!

thank you very much for your wonderful service! at least now i know that i will need a tune later.

Did you get your issue fixed? If not try calling Dave over at horsepowerdepot.com 866-771-3635. He's really good with the EVO! I had an issue a couple of weeks ago where my car would die out at 3500rpms. He walked me through some steps and he figured out what the problem was! Also, they have one of the fastest Evo's I've ever seen so his advice is warranted!! Hope this helps!
