First time in my 2 week old Evo at the drags...
I just bought the car last week. It has 12k miles on it with basic mods.
This is my first time racing an AWD car, nevermind the Evo.
For those who dont know, I have a 3" turboback exhaust (turbo xs downpipe, greddy Ti catback, cat-delete) and AEM intake. No other performance mods at the moment. Stock clutch, stock boost, stock turbo.
First time out, I pulled a 13.6 @ 100.11 mph. I know of a few things I can adjust to better help the car. Next time I race my short throw should be in, along with Blitz EBC. Couple other small things, but they should put me in the low 13s with some practice on my launches.
My 60' times were consistently 1.9 seconds. Because of the stock clutch engaging somewhat high, my rt's were only .9 consistantly. I need to pull the pedal back a tiny bit as I stage and that should do it.
Any ideas/comments? Pics will be up when I get my damn broken camera back. Been 2 weeks now

Work on the 60' time. Taking your 1.9's down to low 1.7's will pull almoast 5 tenths out of your ET. A dead stock evo is capable of going mid to low 1.7's pretty easy once you commit to driving the car pretty hard.
The RT doesn't mean anything...i suggest you ignore it.
I had the best results with the stock clutch using a dump launch. The stock clutch doesn't grab hard, so I don't think there is as much risk of breaking driveline parts. Put the rpm to 6000-7000 and drop the clutch as fast as you can while putting the throttle down. Vary the RPM to suit track so the engine does not bog down. Bog is the et enemy
