1/8 mile time and 1/4 slow down

hey, here is the deal.

I'm basically beating everyone until the 1/8mile in Reaction time, 60's etc.

But it seems like my 1/8 mile mph is slower than everyone. I'm breaking into 101 mph, but I just can't seem to break 13.8 on any track!

my reaction time is .4 ~ .6

my 60's usually in 1.79 ~ 1.9

but my 1/8 mile MPH is 75~83mph...

I was beating a supra tt boosting 18psi about 4 car length and it caught up with me after 1/8 mile... I mean, giving that they're car spool up different than ours and it's really made for high end speed...

People with stock evos that's got lower 60' and RT and lower 1/8 MPH is getting better time than I am...

it's really just curious.

I have a turbo back exhaust, no cat. Peaking at 21psi, holding at 19psi w/o boost controller.

Is this normal or is this something that I need to have looked at? it's not tuned yet.

Thanks.

your 1/8th both mph and time is good, the reason you are gettin caught after the 1/8th is you dont have many mods. you can look at my profile and modlist, my 1/8th is about 1.7 or so and my mph may be around 88, your mph is so low because you are getting there a lot faster than they are, and remember bigger turbos take longer to spool so your tt supra isn't doing anything until the 8th and those turbos really get to work and his top end depending on the turbos he has and the size is prolly about 115 to 130 mph. your boost is normal, get a new bov and you will more than likely hold boost better. get your ecu flashed and your top end is better, mine was done by al, and i noticed immediately more torque at top end. good luck...

the supra tt was stock, with up boost and down pipe.

he was only hitting about 103 mph at 13.2 sec.

But I'm hitting 101 mph at 13.8

Shift faster. Try to reduce the time it takes to rebuild boost between shifts.

I thought about the track too. So I went to Steel track in AL. same stuff. I mean, I was getting 13.8 all night long but still it's just odd.

it really feels like it takes forever from 3rd gear for the RPM to go up.

What would cure something like that, besides a bigger turbo?
