Very good time for a 1.86 60' - good shifting

Your about 9/100's sec better then me (8.045/88.739mph) with similar mods, but I have stock catback, stock IC plumbing with Dynoflash

What psi did you run?

Making decent power, but you have a low 7.8 in there once you figure out the launch. Keep improving...

I still am not keen on 1/8th-mile tracks and how they read, but for reference, always remember to click on my sig link to see my 1/8th-miles on the 1/4-mile runs. My 93oct 22psi best had a 7.76@88.3 mph with stock cams and base Dynoflash. Use that as a milestone.

But you are a lot better driver than me. I am still on stock clutch (until next month) but will keep shooting to get better. No 1/4 tracks within 200miles of me, so that will have to be a planned weekend thing. Thanks for the tip though.

people have pulled low 1.7s on the stock clutch. try launching without the rev limiter, that MIGHT be able to give you about a .1 in the 60'

I was thinking about doing that, but decided I want to just utilize it until I get a better clutch.

People have done 1.6s and 1.7s using the limiter, too, so don't let that stop you. Also, launching at a higher rpm isn't what hurts your clutch. It's slipping it from low RPM that burns it up.

1.6 60ft with the rev limiter??? thats amazing, my clutch would just slip with the limiter, i wish i had done a SS line and removed the restrictor, maybe it woulda been a lil better

I think it has only been accomplished with those clutch mods done. Actually, there is one local DCEvo guy who just always refused to disconnect the switch, but never got good 60's, then randomly one day he got it right and busted a 1.68. Before then, his best had been 1.76, so that was a pretty awesome launch, but he hasn't tried it again since then. I can't remember if he has done an SS line or removed the restrictor, but Scott @ TTP definitely had already done those mods when he hit his 1.69.

Ill do the line when I do the clutch and see how that helps. Maybe after the clutch gets here I will unhook it and let loose from 6K or so.

Better yet I can get the car flashed for 5500 or so higher limit for you.

IMO Clayton is asking for trouble at 6000rpms.
