Bone stock MR 1st time at track

I ran a 13.6 @ 103mph with a 2.1 60ft. I didn't launch it since I just wanted to see my trap before I mod. I'm very happy with the 103, since it's a slow track in Seguin, Texas. Another evo with an exhaust and who knows what else was also running 103-104 traps. In my stock 03 evo I couldn't break 99mph. In my stock STI my best time was 13.4 at 100mph with a great 1.6 60ft. I could never do better than 100 in my STI. My MR feels slower, but I guess the power delivery is smoother because the car is actually faster. It's good to be back in an evo.

Congrats, I just came from Sn Antonio raceway today, I saw caswano and ebo8chik with her white evo.

Anyway, the STI is not faster, you just need to bring your 60' down on your MR.

Look at the difference, the STI was launching 1.6 only once, the MR is in the 2.1 mark. There is .5 sec of difference.
Had you launch your STI with a 2.1 and the MR with a 1.6 and the MR could have been near 12's and the STI near 14(high 13)

Keep trying the 60 ' launches, perhaps disconnet the 5k rev limiter, my 60' were 2.0-2.1 at first with the rev limiter now 1.8- 1.7.

By the way, were you at the track today by any chance?, did you see the red Trans am that caught on fire?

Good luck!

I was there tonight. The girl in the white evo was there. She parked next to me for a few minutes and I saw her aftermarket exhaust, but I didn't get to ask her about her mods. I left pretty early. I saw a black evo with black painted stock wheels right before I left. Unfortunately, I didn't see the fire. My car was the silver 05 mr.

I'm really not concerned about getting my 60ft down and getting a better time stock. I just wanted a baseline to compare before I mod so I babied the launch. It's good not to have to shift into 5th like in the STI. I get wholesale price for AEM, Tial, Garrett and other goodies so I think a GT30R is in my near futurre. I just haven't decided what kit to match them up with. From the looks of it Buschur or AMS are the way to go.

Thanks, and good luck to you

I talked to the girl on the white Evo, I did not get her name but she told me she was evo8chick. As per the guy, I don't remember his name but he was there with his friend that owns a Evo.

Anyway, I rolled in at 100pm just at the same time the white and black Evo were simultaneously leaving.

You missed a real almost tragedy at 1050pm, one guy running a Trans Am with NOS almost got burned inside his car. He has a huge explosion of NOS leak and the car caught on fire. I was standing in the wacthing area sitting about 30 feet away and I felt the heat from the explosion.. what a explosion!!

Anyway, this the link I opened about the accident tonite and this is the car that you saw tonite(black evo)

As you make your mr faster you are going to have shift into 5th as the gear ratios are different then the gsr.
