Thanks guys

It was pump gas, stock boost and a downpipe back not a TBE, they dont have a TBE yet for the nine (this company with the 3.5).

War, I am still going to go through you for the tune but the exhuast was a great deal and it was local so if there were any issues they were in portland to help me out.

I agree the exhaust is huge but like i said i got a good deal on it and it sounds nice. But thanks for the support guys.

Downpipe-back is turboback - same thing.

3.5" is too big for the stock turbo, so it doesn't matter how good the deal was. If you mean you got it for $400 or less, then ok, but if it was more than $600, then I dunno. People don't normally buy an exhaust from someone local just in case they have problems. That's not a common thing to worry about - exhausts are simple. I just hope having that 3.5", which is designed for huge turbos, doesn't hold you back at all.

Hell I got all my mods for cheaper than your package. And I prefer my exhaust much more than the noisy Buschur. All I need is the flash.

while a 3.5 inch exhaust is overkill, it will not "hold him back" by any stretch of the imagination.

You also went slower than I did and since when is the BR exhaust noisy? My Megan is way louder. The BR is a much better exhaust, especially now that they all come with the Bullet muffler, which is not loud, but is very light and looks really nice.

Unless you got all those mods used, they weren't less than 1500. Here's the breakdown:

Exhaust (DP/TP/CBE) = $600
MBC = $85
BOV = $170
FP = $85
Cams = $550
Filter = $65
Total = $1555 - that's using pretty conservative prices, too

This is not even including the SAFC, especially if you include all the parts needed to use an SAFC: SAFC itself, fields harness, wideband o2, and logging device. If you had someone else tune you, then the cost of tuning on top of the SAFC itself has to be included, so again there's no way all that cost less than $1500. My package includes the tuning, requires no extra devices like I listed above, and the flash has all the features that the SAFC doesn't have: launch control, raised rev limiter, removed fuel cut, and perfect idle control.

So, I do love your mods, but to outright claim you paid less, to say the BR exhaust is noisy, and to not realize that all the mods in my package can be bought at once place all in one package with everything included and FREE shipping, it's hard to justify your stance.

A 3.5" exhaust won't give you more horsepower than a 3", but it will not hurt performance either and it will help if you ever decide to step it up to a big snail. Have fun with it man!

You just can never seem to leave well enough alone, can you? He said what he has, he said what he paid.....can't you just leave it at that? Instead of just leaving it and saying "cool", as most people who have even mediocre social skills would do, you choose instead to push your agenda (without being a paid vendor mind you). As well intentioned as you might be, there does come a point where you sound like a broken record.

What are you talking about? DSMfan did NOT say what he has and did NOT say what he paid. He just made a claim that he paid less for his mods, which he did not, so why are you lecturing me? Why would I say "cool" when someone makes a false claim that is directed at me? That makes no sense.

How is dp-back and tb the same thing?
Everything behind the turbo is a "turbo-back".
A "cat-back" is everthing behind the cat.
So, a dp-back would include the cat or test-pipe and the "cat-back"
The only thing wierd about the tb is the o2 housing, so essentially most of us don't have a "true" tb.

Also, having no exhaust is too big, not 3.5 inch.

You are just the post master. Do you sleep? Your eyes must be so mangled from starring at your monitor.

His mods are in his sig. How do you know what he paid? Did 95dsm's credit card bill get sent to you for payment? If not, then you have absolutely no idea what he paid - nor should you frankly care

If that's what he means by downpipe-back, then he needs to say cat-back plus test-pipe. As you already noted, we call it a turboback even though it doesn't include the o2, so there's no way to know exactly what he means by downpipe-back. Just say cat-back and test pipe - simple.

I slept about 9 hours last night - it felt great. I can't be anymore "chill" than I am right now drinking a beer and watching the NCAA tourney. Thanks for your concern.
