Launching with an auto ralliart.

Dont laugh! Im not a car racing kind of guy but im just wondering how you would launch properly with an auto ralliart.

I reved it up in neutral and then just slid it into drive witch actually worked very well. The tires spin quite a bit. I never tried this before. I used to just simply hit the gas in drive which sucks compared to starting in neutral. Im wondering if this is the right way to do it with an auto ralliart, or is there a better way?

Thanks!

ouch, your hurting yourcar by nuetral dropping it. it's much better on the car(although still bad) to hold the brake and gas at same time then release the brake when you get to the prefered rpm...

edit: all while in the "D" gear on your auto

Talk about launching your tranny out of your car instead of the car itself by slammin it to Drive. Not recommended imo.

Haha. Thanks. I only tried it once just to see and im not planning on doing it again. How do you know it hurts the car though? It says in the manual you can slide it from neutral to drive without pressing the button.

Im just wondering how autos would race off the start properly.

the way you launch an autos.. is put in drive step on the gas and floor it.. (don't be afraid.).. you rpm will rised to a certain RPM.. and that Rpm is your stall Rpm ( depending on the car prob above 2k). now when you feelt ready to launch the car.. just release the break and let it rip.. side note on a turbo car this's how you build boost, and enable autos to launch at higher boost than a manual, depending on the car stall Rpm.
you can see it on the Grand nationals.
hope this help ..

Don't put the gas to the floor. First hold the brake, then add a little bit of gas until the car starts trying to move itself. That's the RPM your stall is set at. When the light turns green, floor it and let off the brake.
