Warrtalon,

I apologize if this has been stated in this thread already, I don't have time right now to look, but what brand/type of cams did you put in?

how much LIFT do those cams have?

it seems to me the dilemma Warr has could be:
1) cam gears are not set correctly to compensate for altitude
2) GSC cams have low lift which isn't making more power than stock (stock is 9.8)
3) stock ignition system is not producing enuff spark hindering power (over 27psi)
4) might help to 86 the MAF sensor & go speed density

but he thinks i'm nuts anyway so these other areas that no one mentioned will go without investigation. it's just merely an observation...

No, you don't need cam gears to run these cams. Cam gears allow you to move the power band around and sometimes make more usable power depending on the type of cam and duration, but these are a simple combination that MANY MANY people use with no cam gears. Plenty of people up here use cams without cam gears, too, and they get lots of power. Even if I did need cam gears to get the perfect setup, this is not the reason why I'm seeing _0_ change from stock. There would be SOME change in the curve somewhere, but there isn't.

Yes, HouseDJ, you are totally cracked out. You always talk about crazy things that you have no clue about...kinda like how you said humidity is similar to water injection and makes Evos faster...

the only way to get cams to work without cam gears is with a standalone unit. also your 264exhaust cam is why your car is falling on its face up top. cam gears don't just move the powerband, they WIDEN it also. if a 2nd gen DSM can make 46whp with 272 cams, what's your excuse??
