I have a built transmission. Transfer case, axles, rear end, diffs, etc are stock.

The engine is completely stock aside from head studs and cams. I do have a Qaurtermaster Twin-Disk for the clutch assembly. It slips only as much as I tell it to.

And yes, the ignition was cutting out badly. I will get it fixed, retune the car and get the right kind of gas in it this time

I think I just was too lazy and figured my tank was empty even though it wasnt (No gas guage on the fuel cell). When I originally tuned the car it had less knock at more boost so I should be fine. I will also up the timing slightly. That combined should give me another 2mph. Then add the other 80 lbs of weight I found and it should be decent. I also have my new ram-air type intake (Hole through the headlight) so maybe that will help out too, if nothing else at least it will finally get cool air to start with.

So your front diff held up... cool. What failed in your transmission that caused you to build it? I know the center diff is in the tranny and the front diff in the transfer case. Will be interesting to see what failed on my car (car won't move at all, but when you put it in gear and let the clutch out the speedo rises, so the tranny is spinning and the clutch is grabbing). How much was your quartermaster clutch... I might try that out next.

I cracked my first gear presumably. Not sure exacty, it turned out it was fine anyways... I "cracked" the gear. Ran it a few weeks later (Not fixed). It was fine. I "rebuilt" it once (The guy said all the gears were fine so he didnt changed them). Still made a noise, ran it anyways, it was fine. Rebuilt it again... same thing... still made noise, ran the car, nothing bad happened. Rebuilt it AGAIN, told to replace the gears, input shaft, etc... noise finally went away.

Stock Diffs. I think the QM clutch was around the $1600 mark with a hydraulic release bearing.

And yes, the revs are high (For a stock motor at least). The boost was around 29ish. Never dynoed the car. Tuned and built the pos by myself in my parking lot (Yes outside). The car was running pretty rich with lowish timing (For race gas) so there is definately more in it.

The mods are:

GT35R (E-Cover, .63AR exhaust side), Shearer Manifold, side exit exhaust, HKS 272/272 cams, HKS SSQV BOV, custom upper IC pipe / lower IC pipe, Buschur normal front mount IC, no intake (Open turbo), 750cc injectors, magnus intake manifold, ARP headstuds, crap tires, stock rims, stock suspension, AEM EMS, Zeitronix Wideband, Quartermaster Twin-Disc assembly, Aeromotive A-1000 fuel pump, Aeromotive fuel filter, -10 fuel feed lines, 29ish psi of boost, 110 octane gas.

Not too bad all things considered. It will go faster next time out I hope

Ill be out of town again next weekend but if you let me know and Im around Ill go up there anytime

And we are working on getting Trina ready to run it... She will hit a 10 with it quite surely. It was still lacking in alot of areas the other night. Once I get it running decent and get her to launch well she will be the fastest EvoM chick

What did it put down with those mods... I totally agree on traction being an issue... Mine was more of being cold and no 2step cause Turboxs is taking their sweet time...

I cant believe they would let anything run in that weather. That has got to be the most dangerous drag racing conditions Ive seen a track run it... Wow. That sucks.

As for the power I have no idea. Ive never had it on a dyno. I have been thinking to bring it to a dyno sometime to actually see how good my tuning is but then I remember... I dont really care that much yet Once I cant easily figure out how to get more power out of it then I will probably try a dyno. Either that or get a bigger turbo and a built motor.

seems like your on the right path.... i am suprised you haven't done tens yet with the race gas .... you pull 100mph in the 1/8th thats pretty good but the back isn't that hot. If you can gain around 31-32mph (presuming around 540awhp ) in the back 1/8th you will be there.....back when we were running my car to 8500+rpm's on the stock motor witht the pump gas and meth setup we ran 11.1 at 128.99mph also but only 97mph in the front 1/8th so i wonder who was right or wrong with the setups....its definitely interesting how different setups go about making similar end results.

Yup, those were my race fuel runs, and it ran soooo bad... I went to the track about a month ago and the track was still pretty crappy. I never got to try out race fuel though but I ran a 12.5@117.9 but with a 2.3 or something 60" so it is still trying to get used to this, and waiting for good track conditions. I never got to try my 4th run as my little retainer clip around my TOB popped off and I shipped the trans to Shep instead of taking a chance of truly breaking it.

I would have to assume my car is making slightly more TQ than yours and slightly less HP. That would give the 1/8th a boost and cut off the top slightly. The car also made the same power with the meth when I was using it. I just couldnt ever feel safe running the car with just the meth so I removed it. Im using just 110 for now (And these runs I think I messed it up... got too lazy to drain whatever 93 was left in it and I guess there was more than I figured left, hence the knock).

My car is also most likely slightly less heavy than yours. These runs were right around 3250 lbs with me in it. I am hopefully gonna be bringing it back to the track next weekend for some import shootout at some local track so hopefully Ill do better there. Its finally warm enough for me to get traction!

nah i got sick of blowing up the stock diffs trying for 10s on pump gas with stock motor and meth so i got a ralliart unit then once together at the end of last year when it was ready to rock and running SUPER strong the meth box took a crap and toasted a piston. So we rebuilt it overnight for the nopi race in norwalk but after staying up 50+ hours straight and getting it tuned it was just too much and we called it quits for the year and built everything to the hilt.... top mount turbo setup, ams intake manifold and 75 mm throttle body, headwork with 1mm larger valves and dual springs , bottom end with pauter rods and weisco pistons balanced and blueprinted to 10k, more weight reduction and lots of aero work to start road racing.... here are some pics
