02 housing
twin disk
93 octane

My car was customed tuned almost 2 years ago when I had 264's in it. I've added the cams, hotside, and 02 within the past few months. It could use a fresh tune on it.
Corey, those times would equal a mid-low 12 second pass on a full 1/4mile track. You might be able to eek an 11 from it with 1-2psi more boost depending on how much power your picking up on the back end of the track.

For reference I run 8.0-8.1 @ 85ish in the 1/8th and go 12.5 and an occasional 12.4 but consistantly trap 110. I have basically the same mods as you with exception of cams so you probably have a little more in there with a better tune and more practice.

1/8 mile ET corresponds directly to your shifting, the mph on the other hand should be ignored and varies - I had a missed shift 8.9 with a 88 mph.

Personally I would say your custom tune is still good for your current mods (even though recieving a lot of bad review - BS) and if you ever want to run a 7.7 or 7.6, throw some racegas in there and tune it with EcuFlash keeping the custom tune currently on it as a base (don't ever get talked out of it - it has good value)

Good driving!

The only thing they help with is tracking improvement from mods (trap speed) and practicing your launching. There's really nothing to comment on with the times other than it's slow for the mods.

My main reason of not going to a REAL track is cause I work and the nights that I do get to go to the track I don't feel like driving 3 hours for maybe one pass and driving back home or possibly towing my car home.

As for my car being slow for it's mods.....fill me in on what YOU THINK my car should run with a fresh tune, pump gas, and the driving in the video. I do not power shift my car, but I honestly don't think my driving wasn't bad at all.

I know my car is capable of running at least a 7.7 with a lower 60ft, but with all seasons and a crappy prepped track isn't gonna yeild anything better IMO.

I figured my little rant would get his attention. All I was asking for were some compliments, advice, or even some critisizm. I went through the trouble of typing all the times and hosting the vid and not hardly one person made a comment.

I guess I was just happy for bettering myself and beating my best I set at the begining of the summer.

I don't live my life 1/4 mile at a time like some. Drag racing isn't something I do every weekend. This time was the first time I was back to the track since the begining of the summer.

Thanks man. I looked around on the timeslip section and seen what people were trapping in the 1/4 with around the same ET and mph I have. I figured it would be at least a mid to low 12 in the 1/4.

Good driving!

Thanks for clearing that up. I figured I was driving it pretty good to run a 7.97 @ 84 mph without powershifting it.

I've been happy with my DynoFlash custom tune the whole 2 years of having it. I think I can squeak a 7.7 with a better 60ft the way the car sits now. I like the idea of drop my ET just by driving my car bettr than just adding more HP by adding parts or running more boost with race gas. My goal now is to get a 7.7 with the way my car is sitting. Once the season in over I'm gonna get my car retuned again.

Thanks for the compliments.

In the vid it sounded like you were making good shifts. What RPM are you launching from? I know that I have an 1/8th mile close to my house also and it is fun to go to with the friends. Next time you go to the track try not shifting into 4th and keep it in 3rd all the way through the line. It is what I do and I bet that it will take a tenth off of your time.

Nice.. glad to see so more people are hitting up the local 1/8 strips

I quit posting about my results/fun at the local track.. nobody cares about 1/8 mile times (except those who race at them).

Shifting into 4th sucks doesnt it?

I usually launch my car around 5500-6000. Kinda hard keeping it at a certain RPM without a 2 step IMO. I was also on some all seasons with about 32 psi in them and didn't bother messing with the pressure that night.

That is really the only reason I go to the track is to have fun and to try to better myself. I tried not shifting into 4th last season and it seemed to hurt my time more than anything. I think I'll be going back next Friday so I'll try it for the hell of it. I'd like to see a 7.7 before I get it tuned again.

Thanks for the advice.

Drag racing isn't my life or even that important to me so I go where its conveinent to me.

Shifting to 4th does kinda suck cause I had a bad experience with my old ITR where I was going to 4th and went to 2nd. After some valves and machine work it was back to normal, but ever since that happened I make sure that it's in 4th gear before I let out the clutch.
