Stock Turbo Evo runs a new best of 11.56@116 at the Evo vs WRX Shootout. On pump gas!
I ran in the bracket class at the Evo vs WRX shootout yesterday and ran three 11.6's and then an 11.56 in the 4th round. I originally dialed in an 11.67 but when the temps dropped I decided to lower it to 11.63. Then I lowered it again to 11.60, but I broke out with the 11.56. It's too bad because my reaction time was nearly perfect on that run too! I'm happy my car turned such a great time, but am upset I didn't win the whole thing because first place in the bracket racing class was an Exedy twin disc. Oh well.
Here is some information about my car:
2005 Evo 8 w/49K miles
Pump gas with no alky or meth injection
Stock and untouched 16G turbo
Cusco Twin Disc
Dynoflash Mail-In Flash
HKS 264/272
ARP Head Studs
Buschur Race FMIC
HKS RS Intake
QTP Electric Exhaust Cutout
BFG Drag Radials in 225/45/17 on the stock rims
Race weight was 3140 this time (had a little more fuel in the car this time plus I put a second Recaro Pole Position in so friends can ride with me now)
Timeslips and vids to follow.

I don't think the classes finished until like 12 to 1am based on how many cars there were and how slow it was going. You gotta remember it was not only Evo vs Wrx day, but Mitsubishi day, turbo Dodge day, and then some Camaro vs Mustang challenge + open time trials/test & tune. LOL.
