Also thanks to Big Al for doing a great tune and the car really woke up on 100 octane.

Rob,

It is about time you post bro... I was eager to share the good news with the Evo community but I want it to give you the honor to write your own post.

You did fantastic, trapping 115.5 and a 115.6 in Tucson(3100ft) with such silly mods is absolutely thrilling. Your car was a deep low 12 second car all night except that couple of launches that did not go too well but you still managed mid 12's.

Rob, you did break the track record, unfortunately your times were over shadow by that dude that appeared from nowhere in a trailer and pulled a Black Evo that ran 10's.

Again, great job on that fantastic run. I do have a video of one of your runs and I took some pictures as well. You can't deny I was over excited about your runs.

Dynoflash rocks!!

Very impressive, especially for 3,100ft worth of elevation. Great job, with 115mph, 11s are possible even at Tuscon.

^^^Absolutely!! He can improved his times. This was the first time for him at the track with the new clutch, plus he only had 4 runs due to the huge amounts of cars running that night.

Rob is a experienced guy at the track(not just cars but also superbikes), I am confident he will break another record.

If that guy from El Paso TX with the 10 sec Evo would have not showed up then certainly Rob would have had the all times fastest Evo track times in Tucson ever.

I saw his timeslips and he is picking up 29mph on the second half. He can also improve his 60 ft so my prediction is that he will break his own record and the track record again (except that 10 sec Evo). Another thing to consider is that he wasn't even running that much boost at all 23-24psi..

Just for the record, the STi's were doing 14's that night, Cobras high 13's. But what really gets me is his trap speeds, 115.5 and 115.6 mph at this altitude and on stock turbo is flying!!

Carlos

Also I was shifting at 7500 indicated and it seems to be the evoworld consensus that 7100-7200 is best, and I lifted 1-2 2-3 but not 3-4 on that last run. I am curious how people are running 120 with the normal dynoflash flash as I was on the governor/limiter in 4th just past the lights.

Well job done Rob . I got extremely excited when you called me the first time to tell me you ran 12.3 and then to see you when you dropped to 12.2 was just awesome. I have no doubt that once you master your clutch, you will improve . Hey, maybe next time you should come with Carlos and I to Phoenix, I'm sure with the elvetion being lower you can get better times. Carlos has yet to run my car in Phoenix in the winter. Last time we were up there it was hot as hell and he managed to get awesome times.

On our way home I was telling Carlos that with our cars, the ix, there isn't any need for very much mods nor big turbos to get low numbers. In my case I drive my car everyday and I need to know that I don't have to worry if I can drive my car or not. I know I can, I know it's reliable and most of all I know it's fast. I'm done putting mods on my car. People keep telling me that I need this or that, but I'm not looking for big numbers on the dyno. I know what my car is capable of doing and that's all that matters to me.

Well done my friend.

Whats your 1/8th MPH? I trapped same mph in Tucson and Phx at the end of the 1/4. But much much faster in the 1/8th which meant much better times. Wish I had a 5spd. Good time none the less!!
