I had the DV and snorkel disconnected when I did the test and ran the tester to the turbo inlet. Today at idle it seemed as though the DV had air coming from it...not the connection either...hell at this point who knows.
- The stock DV opens at idle like it should
- You can't detect a boost leak at idle anyway
- The DV should have been on during the test
- The snorkel is the piece that sends air to the stock airbox. The MAF pipe is the hose that sends air from the intake to the turbo.

Do I not remove the snorkel and connect the boost leak tester? thus leaving it hanging? I know newbie type questions just making sure I understand...do I pull the maf and filter and run the boost leaker tester through the snorkel?
GOOD video...
something devilish is going on with your car. I am pretty impressed that you found 'zero' leaks...good job i guess? Does your car feel real strong? 13.2 is amazing...I knocked out a 13.1 untuned in my VIII with just a 3" buschur TBE
Make sure you're boost leak testing properly...

Here is a simple question ... did you log the run? Heat soak could be triggering some knock. That would help explain the slow second half.
If you didn't log the run, take the car out and do a few 2nd or 3rd gear pulls back to back and see if anything happens.
Now, if knock caused those runs, then you were likely seeing a bit of knock ... I'd estimate 6+ for enough time to drop the octane flag a bit ...
Good luck on a solution.
BTW, I've had luck shifting at about 6600 - 6800, but I'm on the 10.5 and a 6-speed. I'm honestly not too fast either ...

There are a lot of little things you have to do to correctly perform a boost leak test. It's not just a matter of hooking up the tester and pumping air through it. And like the other guy said...the snorkel is the piece that's connected to the lid of the stock air box. You do disconnect your intake tube off the turbo. I believe you also have to plug the vacuum port going to the diverter valve and plug the line coming out of the valve cover that goes back into the intake tube...I think that's about it. If there is more to it...someone else chime in. I also see that he has a 50 trim kit in his sig for mods...so unless he has that already tuned and running good, this would be good for anyone to know in case there are issues later on.
