My 1st time to run the qtr

This was the first test n tune here in memphis.

The old man chris decided that he needed to nap instead of make some passes...

Here's my time slip (I am #61):

My mods are in my sig.

The track was very stickie and I had my 2-step set to 6100rpm and it was bogging to ~3k rpm so that explains my 1.83 60ft.

Oh well it was fun and it was my first time to run there.

Let me know what you think.

More people should post time slips. Nicely done (I think... I'm no drag racer, but a 12.5 is impressive to me, probably because I suck)

Yea, not sure why they don't.
I have nothing to hide.

Yea, I also had my tire pressure at 25psi.

I suspect that if I had it at my dd psi (30psi) that I would have been able to get the tires to break loose a little so that I could keep my rpms up and not bog on the line like I was.

Oh well, that is why it was a TNT.

Hey Brad,

I apologize for asking you this question because I'm semi familiar with your car, via evom of course , but are you running an '03 stock turbo, or have you at least upgraded to the 10.5?? I just don't see any turbo in your sig.

Stock 03 turbo with the 9.8 hotside.

I ran 5 times with this one as my best et and mph.

I had one run at 108mph.

The other runs ranged from this time to 12.72.

it's about time you popped the cherry

I think running a 12.5 on your first 1/4 mile track attempt ever in any car is damn good. Most of us start off in the 13's and 14's

once you get that twin disc in and can come out with some RPM and ease the clutch out to reduce bogging/spinning I think it'll do 1.65 60's all day long and get you into the low 12's

Well I'm not going to lie, that is pretty damn good for that little turbo. Poor thing has to blow extra hard to fill that front mount of yours, that's for sure. Good work, but I am going to have to agree with Chad, it's about time you get a new setup!

brad was going to buy my new Aquamist HSF-5 I never installed (it's for sale btw) and see what he could get out of the stock turbo but decided to put that money towards the HTA 35R kit like I have.

Definitely could see at least a 12.3 with that MPH. I wish I could afford a HTA 35R.
