if your talking bout 1/4 mile, acceleration.
whats the point of having a 300 mph top speed when you cant even accelerate to a quarter of that speed within the 1/4 mile distance? rite?
on average we're talkin bout a 8 second car probably hits the 160 mph range, so work on that acceleration

I ran a 13.43 at the Florida drags in Brad. drag strip. I know with the EVO VII or VIII 2003,2004, I should be able to run a clean 13.0 with no problem.
But I will not due anything until I have 1000 miles of city driving first. To break in the engine proper like.

OK, fine.

Acceleration and top speed go hand-in-hand. The point of drag race is to get from point A to point B in the shortest amount of time. Put really short gearing on a car and it will accelerate like mad, but will top out quicker, thus, a car with normal gearing will eventually catch up and pass the quicker accelerating car. But other than that, there is no way to choose between having better acceleration or more top speed.
Unless, of course, I rub a lamp and my magical genie comes to life... but that doesn't happen.

I can rarely tell the difference between sarcasm and honesty on the internet so I'm going to assume that's honesty.

They're stickied in some of the forums.

And back on topic I'd say ralliartguy's totally on point, but sine you can still stress one more than the other I'd go with accel as well if you plan on running 1/4's or drive a real track (i.e. touring track) with a lot of curves (depending upon the type of car you're driving as well though).

You need a good amount of both,
What's the point of having a high top speed if you can't even accelerate to a even half of that?
And, also what is the point of having good acceleration if you have nothing to accelerate, too?
