Raced the evo again, E85 tune, new best

I recently added a few parts to the car. A quatermaster twin and some 1200cc injectors. I setup the car on e85. Boost hits in the 33psi range and falls to 22 by redline. This in a 3rd gear pull, its never that high on the track.

Anyway I took the car to the local fri night ricer drags. First pass off the highway was my best ever. Boy did I think I was in for a good day of racing, and boy was I wrong. lol

First pass

60' = 1.738
330'=4.800
1/8 =7.377
mph=95.44
1000=9.602
1/4 =11.508
mph=115.84

The mph was pretty low on the pass, the car felt pretty lazy in 4th so I decided to let it cool off a bit.

Next pass I boogered the launch and it bogged to a 1.9x and went 11.7

I let the car cool for a bit and I guess the track just went away while I waited. I have never had a "slow" awd car spin so hard. On one pass it spun so hard in 2nd I had to let out because the car was drifting toward the wall. I ran a few 11.7's @ 119.xx it went 96 in the 1/8 on about every pass I just could not get the car to 60.

I even just rolled out one pass and floored it, as soon as the boost it, it blew the tires off. I was kinda like driving in the rain. I gave up and came home.

Fp cams are on order, soon a fmic will be ordered, then I guess some drag radials Goal on the stock turbo is 11.2 @ 122-123. I think I can get it.

Btw, the car is 3390 race weight, stock fmic, cams, turbo still.

You bastard!!! Freakin got me by .002? Bah! Great job. Yeah, that 115 is more like a 119 by looking at the 60' and 1/8th mph, so you had an 11.4 on that if it just didn't heat soak up top (stock FMIC for ya). I just can't figure out how you're getting that much power to trap that high in the summer with stock cams and FMIC at 3400lbs! Yikes - similar to Ryu. I think you'll trap 122-123 for sure with those mods, and if the DRs do the trick, you may beat 11.2 easily.

E85 rules man, but I know you already know that.

The car runs good, simple combo of parts and I get ever ounce of power out of it.

I might take it the track again on a sticky night just to see. I wanted 11.4's out of the stock cams.

Btw for the people thinking about e85. There is no power mods different between this and my old cam2 runs. Cam 2 would go 93 in the 1/8 and 118 up top. But not in the middle of the summer, it was way cooler.

Congratz Some better tires should definitely do the trick once you get the tire pressure and 2 step dialed in. I was able to get a 1.65 60ft on an unprepped track with Potenza Re050 pole position's and a 1.61 60ft with my Nitto's.
