Third trip to the 1/4 mile track in the EVO X MR
I only did two runs because they were virtually identical, so I saw no point in doing more runs for the same times...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . stock . . . . . . Stage 3 . . . . 3+ TP and Forge WG
60' . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.019. . . . . . .1.9673 . . . . . . . .1.858
1/8 mile ET . . . . . . . .8.835 . . . . . . 8.417 . . . . . . . . .8.126
1/8 mile MPH . . . . . . .78.91. . . . . . .84.60 . . . . . . . . 87.04
1/4 mile ET . . . . . . . .13.763 . . . . . 13.037 . . . . . . . .12.597
1/4 mile MPH . . . . . . .101.10 . . . . . 106.86 . . . . . . . 111.10
From this we can see that between stock and Buschur Racing stage three I gained 5.69 mph in the 1/8 mile, and gained less than another 1/10 of a mph (.07 mph) in the second half of the track!
Between Buschur Stage 3 and now (addition of Test pipe and forge WG actuator) I gained another 2.44 mph in the 1/8 mile, and an additional 1.8 mph in the second half of the track.
I am surprised by how much my 60' time improved... I am guessing that the TC-SST is launching better now that it has 4000 miles on it than it did with 500 miles on it. Either that or the fact that it was daylight with sunshine heating up the pavment improved traction enough for the improved 60' time. Air temps were the same this time as they were my last time at the track, 60 F.
Later,
Keith

Going from stock to stage 3 I gained almost 6 mph in the 1/4 mile with virtually zero change in my 60' time, and the little change that their was in my 60' at that point was due to a technique change (snow mode vs tarmac mode).

mabye I am weird but it looks like a 10mph gain over stock..Your 60 foot improvement is probably also due to increased low end when you added the testpipe.

A power increase that results in 6 mph gain and nets me zero improvment in my 60' time tells me that a further power increase resulting in a 4 mph gain would not be the cause of my improved 60' time.

Nice times and good info!
Bumping this thread with some more q's for you. I don't think I saw this mentioned anywhere and was curious of the following:
1) Were these runs with race gas or pump?
2) All visits were at regular Test & tune with regular track prep, or were any of the track visits at a stickier prepped race event?
3) What size/kind of tires and what was the tire pressure?
4) If on regular street tires, I'm guessing on all your runs you avoided the water box as well for max dry grip?
Thanks!
