Likewise. In fact, I'm much faster on my own than with NLTS, because it chooses when to turn itself back on, and it never reacts as fast as I shift. It's probably just something I'm doing wrong that is caused by years of doing it without an aid, but I prefer doing it au naturale. The risk is missing the shift and spinning the engine too high, but I haven't done that yet in 1000+ passes.

Powershifting is the key to eeking out every last tenth from your mph, but it's very hard on the drivetrain.

Actually, Ryu, I agree with Modular. The NLTS does nothing for me, because my shifts are nearly instantaneous with mere milliseconds between motions. There is NO time for the ECU to react and drop revs, nor is there any time for my revs to climb between shifts without it. I don't see how anyone can powershift slowly enough to actually have the revs drop from the NTLS mod, nor do I see how they can shift slowly enough for the revs to climb up high. The only shift that ever climbed a little on me was the 4-5 in my 6spd. I no longer shift to 5th, so it's of no concern.

can NLTS be flashed on the ecu. I know with an SRT it comes on the staged ecu. Is this possible with the evo.

Yes, that's what everyone is talking about in this thread.

check out this video It clearly show how NLTS hold more boost and is faster than lift shifting. You have to move 2 feet if you lift shift so NLTS should cut your shifting time in half

lol, ... not the sharpest tool in the shed are we?

Also, your particular car and setup will dictate how helpful not lifting is.

If you think gaining a tenth is worth beating the sh** out of your drive train and increasing your chances damaging your motor, then go for it. (it really probably is worth it for some people sometimes)

It's a special mod you can do yourself or that your tuner can do for you. It's all right there in the EcuFlash forum...

You don't need it dude. Just read the following commit it to memory then consider yourself "flashed"

1. When executing a shift keep gas pedal to the floor.
2. Kick the clutch and grab the next gear as fast as humanly possible.
3. Repeat

I call it the ModularTurbo Drivers' Brain flash MOD.
