1/4 on Saturday night

I ran my car Saturday. Conditions were Humid and we were racing in a cloud, a lot of fog and condensation. The best run I was able to turn was a 14.3. My mods are a 3" turbo back exhaust 3" high flow cat, cone filter and forge rec BOV.

Here is my slip.

r/t-.867
60'-2.050
330-5.983
1/8-9.207
MPH-77.16
1000-12.011
1/4-14.366
MPH-96.28

I am lost on what I can do better except getting my 60' down to 1.8. Any other ideas?

Try a dry day, it would help a lot.

Weather is always a factor to performance. Try another day. You've got good starter mods going, so you should be in the 13's at least. 60 ft time needs a little work. All i can say is practice a good launch. What are u launching at? If all fails, check your all your tubing and bov for leaks. You could (possibly) be lossing boost pressure. Just my .02cents....

It is very hard to get a good day/night to race the car here in south florida. It is always just so damn hot and the air so heavy. I am launching at 5,000 and slipping off the clutch. I am shifting at 6900 rpms. Should i be rev matching into the next gear each time to try and get a faster trap speed? I am so lost its not even funny.

Looking at your time slip, it looks to me it's mostly just weather. Of course, a good launch would help... But with your 60 foot time, and the power you should be making, your ET is way high and your trap speed is way low. Just for reference, my GTi VR6 which was dyno'ed at 175hp at the wheel (approx 200hp at the crank) was pulling 14.4@95.5 with a 2.223 60 footer and I topped out in 3rd gear when I trapped. So with much less power, much less traction, and not-so-good gearing, I was able to run down the 1/4 mile just a tad slower than your modified Evo... Something's really off here, and we can't know for sure until you run your car under good track conditions.

I will wait for it to get a little cooler out and go run it again.

besides the bad launching you're doing... and besides the bad weather condition.... you have to get an a/f controller to fix the rich condition you're running with the cone filter.. running really rich together with really high humidity is baaad..

get an a/f controller and a mbc.. (get the car tuned preferrably with a wideband or even just a logger) and learn how to launch an awd car (pumping the gas around 5500-6000 rpms and at the last yellow light planting the gas and just dropping the clutch... NOT slipping it.. the clutch will slip enough for you).. then you'll rip some high 12's or at least low 13's even with the bad weather conditions..

hold revs at 6k, then drop the clutch/ slip very quickly... will give you 1.8's all night.

ps. get clutch line first!!
