Tomarrow is the day. Its been a week since I ran 11.29 @ 119.45. The Record was set 2 years ago by Mike1023 going 11.27 @ 120, in an Evo 8 that weighed 2800lbs w/o him in the car with him it was 2960 from what I read. I WILL have a better camera and will do a walk around of the car. Showing how street stock the car is. Both crash beams are in and the interior is fully in the car. it weights 3230 with me and a 1/4 tank. All I need is .03 to break the record. This car is fully UNsponcered and tuned by a friend.

Even more impressive because of his 4th gear

 

Thats one of the things that im going to have done IF I cant do it the way it is. I have a few other things im going to get over the winter and see if I can get into the 10's. A bit more power and that 4th gear shouldnt have an issue getting the 3 tenths out to go 10.9x.

What trap speed are you limited to in 4th gear? Seems that 11.2 should net closer to 121 mph traps so I'm assuming you are very close to the rev limiter.

After looking at the numbers you are in the 430-450 crank HP range based on the 3230 lbs weight with driver. Now I know why the stock turbo in the Evo X's doesn't get you as far as even 450 crank HP would only net 11.8 @ 115 or there abouts due to the 3700 lbs+ weight with driver. This is all assuming pump gas, I don't think anyone has beat that ET and trap on an Evo X stock turbo yet without using race gas or NOS.

what record are you exactly going for? so many people have there own idea of what record they are breaking. Are you going for the stock block, pump 93, stock 9 turbo record? Fyi, e85 is just a much pump gas as 93 oct is. Hence, they both get PUMPED from da machine into your car.. Good luck. btw, are you using drag radials or slicks? that would be another record on its own.

 

This is on BFG KDWs if you look at the list the only red name on there is the one I'm going for. The only thing it says is stock turbo pump gas. E-85 is to racegasish for that record if it was it would have been broken a LONG time ago. This im sure is a 93 octane record.
