removal of front sway bar
hello guys. a few questions. i am a street type driver. and i hit the track on the weekends. i could care less about turns. lol but being on the street is it ok in removing the front sway bar. im told removing it helps in drag racing. does anyone who has done it drive on the street and what is the difference?

Just be careful of evasive type movements and you should be fine.
To me it's like driving around on QTP's

The sway bar stabilizes the car; helps with body roll. You may not think you turn fast or aggressive, but an Evo is very stable, you will probably notice a big difference even with easy driving. Just disconnect the ends like Patrick said and see. If you can live with it, remove it.

How big of a difference does this make at the drag strip? A big diff in 60ft's I imagine but people with success and advise - whats your feedback? Thought about trying it too. I know the car will handle like crap on the turns ,giving up ,more body roll but just curious to know the positive effects
going straight, some say better weight transfer too.
