There's no pride lost if you get beet by a faster car....
I got whooped at a lancer meeting by a modded GTI.....oh well....
may be embarasing for a min. but once you realize you had no chance it doesn't matter any more.
was actually funny really...
you should be able to win that one though

SL: I appear to be the only person who voted no. I did it not because I think you'll lose (it would be close), but because of this line:

The reason I use the word "retired" is because I pretty much said I would avoid racing at all to my wife, and well, I'm trying to see if this would be worth another, "last" race...
I think a promise (whether implied or explicit) to your wife greatly outweighs any potential "glory" gained from beating a cavalier at the local 1/4. If the guy wants to talk, so be it - you didn't buy a Lancer ES to race (at least I hope not).

My 2 cents.

Real reason I haven't pressed the issue. The guy shut up, and has yet to be seen. So, I really haven't been seeking him out. Plus, my stance on street racing has changed in the last few months. So, I dunno. I don't even care any more. I know now that mine is a superior vehicle, so, what do I care if he thinks his GMjunk is better?

I do not know what the difference is between the base and the z24 but i will tell you this the new z run 15.8 stock if he has a intake and exaust he is prob running low to mid 15 and that would smoke you. But then again that is a z not a base as far as i know the z is still a 2.2 liter

Anywho, just race for fun. Ive gone against my friends 2nd Gen Rx7 Turbo, a 300zx TT, and other cars ill get whooped by. Its just fun, I dont really care if I lose at all. As long as there is no $$ involved just do it for fun!
