I won't be running unless i have slicks, sooooo much easier on the drivetrain.....heard to many horror storeys about axle hop..etc with street tires. Snaping axles, wreaing T-cases....etc

im confused ;o
its better to drag with slicks vs street tires? If i spin my street tires how would that be more harmful on the drivetrain?

I agree with this; having more grip is what will put more strain on the drivetrain.

I'm hoping to dip into high 11's with my stock clutch, stock turbo and 91 octane tune next time I go to the strip

FYI drag slicks are WAY WAY easier on your drivetrain then radial tires. The larger softer side walls on a QTP hooser or other slick, take up some of the "force" from the launch. Were as a stock radial will spin and cause wheel hop in some cases...which is a T-case/axle killer (don't ask how i know this).

If you look at any of the guys that drag a lot, and are pushing serious power, none of them run a stock radial.
